Category: Honour

For Short Ends’ one year anniversary edition, we explore Honour; a promise or adherence to a code—an obligation to fulfil or betray. These stories usually focus on a character(s) trying to live up to their code, breaking it, or feeling confused about their place within it, as their actions have repercussions. What is considered honourable and dishonourable is conditioned, subjective, and political. The act of turning down one concept of honour is often choosing to invent (or open up to) a new one.
