Author: Antoine Demeule

Antoine Demeule splits its time finishing his post-modern slasher thesis for his MA in Film Studies at Concordia University, while being the coordinator and social media manager for Aime ton cinéma, which aims to promote Québécois cinema and all initiatives related to it. His sides-gigs include writing articles, be them academic or not, holding conferences, and assisting in film distribution (Filmoption International). He also holds a BFA in Specialization in Film Studies from Concordia University (2018) and a Specialized Graduate Diploma in Cegep Pedagogy from Sherbrooke University (2021). Antoine’s interests lie in everything related to horror films and literature, especially the slasher film and 1980s genre cinema; Québécois cinema; and spectators’ identification.
